Stephanie Manning, Psy.D.
My Approach
I believe therapy works best when it feels collaborative, thoughtful, and tailored to you. My approach is warm, engaged, and evidence-based with a strong emphasis on helping clients feel understood, supported, and empowered as they work through life’s challenges.
I provide individualized treatment including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Psychodynamic therapy. I thoughtfully integrate these modalities to meet each client’s unique needs and goals. Mindfulness strategies are incorporated to support both emotional insight and practical change.
I take a holistic approach to psychological wellness, recognizing that emotional well-being is influenced by the interplay of thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, physical health, life stressors, and broader systems. Together, we consider the full context of your life, not just symptoms, to support meaningful and sustainable change.
Many of the individuals I work with are high-functioning, driven, and outwardly successful, yet feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected internally. In our work together, I strive to create a space where you can slow down, explore concerns openly, and gain clarity—without judgment or pressure.
In addition to therapy, I offer leadership and executive coaching for professionals seeking greater confidence, clarity, and effectiveness in their personal and professional lives. Coaching is future-focused and goal-oriented, while grounded in psychological insight. I help clients identify patterns, strengthen emotional intelligence, and develop practical strategies to enhance performance, decision-making, and overall well-being.
Whether you are seeking therapy or coaching, my goal is to support meaningful, sustainable growth—helping you feel more aligned, capable, and intentional in the life you’re building.
Professional Background
I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist with over a decade of experience helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, burnout, and the emotional challenges that often accompany demanding careers and major life transitions. My work is well-suited for professionals who are highly capable and motivated, yet find themselves feeling overwhelmed, stuck or disconnected despite outward success.
My clinical experience spans a wide range of concerns, including work-related stress, career dissatisfaction, loss, self-esteem challenges, interpersonal difficulties, and health-related stressors. I specialize in helping clients manage periods of transition—whether related to career growth, leadership demands, personal change, or shifting life roles while building resilience and clarity.
I received training in executive coaching through Columbia University’s Executive Coaching Program, which informs my work with professionals by integrating coaching principles within a clinical framework. I combine psychological insight with practical, goal-oriented strategies to support personal and professional growth.
I earned my Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from Immaculata University, an APA accredited program. I graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor in Arts degree in Psychology and received my Master’s degree in Clinical-Counseling Psychology from La Salle University. I am licensed to practice in both New York and New Jersey, and PSYPACT/APIT Certified, allowing me to provide interjurisdictional telepsychology services to clients in participating states.
