What Getting Started Looks Like
Schedule a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation
We briefly discuss what you’re looking for, how I work, and whether this feels like a good fit for your needs.
Clarify next steps
We review scheduling, fees for therapy or coaching services, and out-of-network reimbursement (therapy only) options if needed.
Begin Sessions
Your first session is a 60-minute intake appointment designed to help us get to know one another. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you’re hoping to gain from therapy or coaching. I’ll also gather background information to better understand your history, current stressors, and goals.
Most clients choose to meet on a weekly basis, particularly at the start of therapy or coaching. Consistent meetings help maintain momentum, allows for deeper exploration with continuity between sessions, and a more cohesive approach to therapy or coaching. While progress looks different for everyone, many clients find that steady, ongoing work supports deeper understanding and more meaningful change over time. Sessions are thoughtful, structured, and tailored to your goals— whether you’re navigating burnout, transitions, or high-pressure roles.
What to Expect
Why Self-Pay Therapy Is a Meaningful Investment in Your Well-Being
Choosing an Out-of-Network (OON) Psychologist means investing in personalized care without the limitations of insurance, and allows for discretion and flexibility.
No insurance restrictions on frequency, treatment length or approach.
Sessions are not limited to medical conditions covered by insurance, but can address any challenges you and your psychologist determine would be beneficial to explore.
You choose the focus of treatment— no diagnosis required. Insurance may limit care to diagnostic codes, rather than what matters most to you.
Your privacy stays in your control. Insurance companies require a diagnosis and may request documentation. When you self-pay without insurance involvement, your records remain between us.
We work together as long as needed to achieve lasting change.
Can enhance your commitment to the process, helping you stay engaged and achieve meaningful results more quickly.
Ideal for professionals, executives, and individuals who want discretion.

Good Faith Estimates for Self-Pay Individuals:
You are generally considered a self-pay individual, if you do not have health insurance, or do not plan to use your insurance to pay for a medical service. If you are a self-pay or uninsured individual, a provider must give you a “good faith estimate” detailing what you may be charged before you receive the service. Our notice on Good Faith Estimate can be reviewed here.
